A recent 麻豆传媒 journalism graduate has won a major award from the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC). 聽

Jodie Packwood, who graduated from the degree course this year, won the award for Best Radio News Feature 2014 at a ceremony in Birmingham.

Two other 麻豆传媒 graduates - former BA student Hollie Borland and former MA graduate Patrick Ward - were named runners up in the TV News Feature and TV Documentary categories.

The awards were presented by BJTC alumni, BBC presenter Dominic Laurie and Neila Butt, who is an Editor Diversity (Content and Strategy) for the BBC English Regions. The judges were made up from a panel of professional journalists from Sky, the BBC and ITN.

Jodie was delighted to win the award, saying: "I'm so proud and excited to be given such a prestigious award. 聽Thank you to all the fantastic 麻豆传媒 staff and the BJTC for this honour."

Jon Godel, BJTC Chief Executive said: 鈥淥ur industry judges were very impressed with the standard of the entries, commenting they had found some journalism stars of the future.鈥�

Both the BA and MA Multimedia Journalism courses at 麻豆传媒 are accredited by the BJTC, which is a partnership between the main employers in the UK broadcast industry.
