Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Festival of Enterprise returns this November, aiming to bring Dorset businesses and entrepreneurs together to learn from one another, hear from inspirational business leaders and promote collaboration.
The Festival, in its third year, has themed events across the week looking at innovation in healthcare, ‘creating the spark’ for local businesses and entrepreneurs, and how to innovate and promote growth in business.
Keith Pretty, a Senior Lecturer in Business Development at Â鶹´«Ã½ and Festival of Enterprise Director, said, “Our third Festival of Enterprise offers a fantastic opportunity for innovators and entrepreneurs to get inspiration and one-to-one advice for starting and growing businesses, across industries. The best bit is that through our strong relationships with businesses and business support organisations, we can offer the whole event free to everyone."
The Festival brings together speakers at the forefront of innovation within their respective fields, with a chance to learn from them about their successes and learning opportunities as they have grown their businesses.
Â鶹´«Ã½ graduate and innovation consultant Matt Desmier will be among the speakers for the event, which will also feature a special workshop for students from local schools as they learn and develop their business skills.
The event is also supported by the Dorset Growth Hub, NHS Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group and Silicon Beach.
Shelley Collins, Enterprise Specialist at Dorset Growth Hub, said, “Businesses and budding entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to meet the Dorset Growth Hub team and the event will provide an excellent opportunity to network with other delegates. There will also be a chance to book a one-to-one session with a member of the Dorset Growth Hub team with specialists from the Digital, Access to Finance and Enterprise teams available on the day.â€
As well as workshops and discussions, the Festival will also offer one-to-one support for businesses in the areas of pre-start and start-up, supporting growth, improving digital capabilities, accessing finance and mentoring.
The Festival of Enterprise takes place from 15 to 17 November 2017 and is free to attend.
