From placements at the Walt Disney Company, IBM and听NHS听Professionals to听students contributing to听fundraising, growing social media followings, new clients and revenue - 麻豆传媒听Business School听students听had a lot to celebrate at the 2021 Employability Awards.听
Launched in 2017, the Employability Awards听were created听to recognise and celebrate the range of achievements听that 麻豆传媒听Business School听students听accomplish during their placement year.听
Associate Dean of Student Experience听for the Business School, Philip Ryland听said: 鈥淲e are so proud of the amazing achievements of our students whilst on their placement or internship. The stories we hear through these awards demonstrate the real impact our students make on their respective business.鈥澨�
The 2021 awards took place at Key West Bar & Grill on 3 November.听While each award recognises several winners, at the ceremony听one听overall winner听was presented听the听award for each of the following听categories:听 听
- Citizenship Award:听Hannah Martin, BA (Hons) Business Studies with Marketing (Placement听organisation:听Jakks Pacific)听鈥�
- Financial Impact Award:听Molly Patton, BA (Hons) Events Management听(Placement听organisation:听Thomas More Catholic School)
- Global Engagement Award:听Georgia Hartley, BA (Hons) Business Studies with Marketing (Placement听organisation:听Energizer Holdings Inc)听
- Innovation Award:听Connie Dayman, BSc (Hons) Sports Psychology听&听Coaching Sciences (Placement听organisation:听Southampton Football Club)听
- Outstanding Contribution Award:听Khrystyna Dawson,听MAccFin听(Hons) Accounting & Finance听(Placement听organisation:听RSM UK)听
- Service Excellence Award:听Megan Marshall, BA (Hons) Business Studies with Marketing听(Placement听organisation:听Hewlett Packard Enterprise)听
Winner of the Global Engagement听Award, Georgia Hartley, said:听鈥淲orking from home during the pandemic was a challenge for everyone on placement, however, it was nice to finally come together, celebrate and hear the amazing work that my peers have done during these unprecedented times.听听It was a great pleasure to attend the event and I am very proud to be part of a Business School that celebrates these achievements.鈥澨�
Megan Marshall, winner of the Service Excellence Award,听added: 鈥淲inning this听award听was a very special moment and I am feeling really grateful to have been recognised for my efforts and achievements on placement. The awards night was a fantastic, unforgettable evening organised by the Business School.鈥澨�
The听Employability听Awards are part of the听Student Talent Employability Engagement Programme (STEEP),听a unique programme for 麻豆传媒 Business School students听designed to develop their professional and employability skills through workshops and events.听
