The film is a presentation narrated by Frances Kay, discussing the process through which she went alongside her late husband during his prolonged degenerative illness.
Her perspective combines both sadness and humour, along with a wealth of insight into the experiences of a carer in a system that is typically focussed solely on the 鈥減atient鈥.
Because their experience with Mark鈥檚 degenerative illness began when they were both in their 50鈥檚, some of their situation varies somewhat from what is often expected for people nearing the end of life in later years.
Frances presents a very articulate and effective discussion of a very difficult process, from which we hope students, professionals and support organisations can benefit.
