Commencement Ceremony

  • Friday, May 23, 2025- 6:30 PM
  • The ceremony will be held at the Save Mart Center at Fresno State
  • Graduate Check-in will begin at 4:30PM
  • Doors will open for guests at 5:00PM 

Requirements to attend Commencement

Students who completed an Associate Degree in Summer 2024, Fall 2024 or received a degree evaluation indicating pending completion for Spring 2025 and applied for graduation by April 1, 2025 are eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony. You will receive an email invitation and instructions to your student email beginning mid-April 2025.

Q. I didn't apply for graduation by April 1; can I still attend the ceremony?

Due to capacity and other restrictions, students who applied for graduation after the April 1 deadline, will be evaluated for Summer 2025 graduation and may be permitted to attend the ceremony on a case-by-case basis.  Contact evaluations@fresnocitycollege.edu

Q. I am graduating Summer 2025. Can I attend the ceremony if I applied for graduation by April 1?

Yes! After you are registered for your final Summer 2025 classes, contact evaluations@fresnocitycollege.edu

Graduates in cap and gown

PROGRAM DETAILS

  • Graduation announcements, caps, gowns, and tassels may be purchased at the .
    • Black Cap & Gown
    • Red/White Tassel
    • Pathway Sash (optional)
  • Please come dressed in cap and gown and prepared to march.
  • Leave any personal items (backpacks, purses, etc.) in your car or with an audience member.
  • Parking information will be sent to your student email.
  • If you have a physical limitation you feel may make it difficult to participate, please contact the Disabled Students Programs and Services Office at 559.442.8237 for assistance, no later than Friday, April 25, 2025.
  • Photographs will be taken by a contracted professional photographer of each graduate as they receive their diploma on stage and will be available for purchase in the days shortly following the event.
  • If for any reason you do not want your name to appear in the printed Commencement program or displayed during the ceremony send an email to evaluations@fresnocitycollege.edu by April 25, 2025
  • Important information regarding commencement ceremony will be sent to your student email.
