Transition to Remote Classes and Services
Mar 23, 2020 —
Â鶹´«Ã½ continues this week its transition to provide classes and student services remotely to students. The college has a few updates to announce today.
- We have learned that the test for the FCC student aide in the Veterans Resource Center, who may have been exposed to COVID-19 last week, is negative. This is a relief to both the student and those in the building who were also asked self-isolate.
- The State Center Community College District Chancellor, Dr. Paul Parnell, announced today that all graduation ceremonies in the district are now canceled, including Â鶹´«Ã½. The ceremony was originally scheduled for Friday, May 22. Â鶹´«Ã½ will now discuss alternative ways to celebrate the achievement of our students this year.
- In order to adhere to the guidelines to shelter in place and practice social distancing, no in-person classes will be held for the remainder of the Spring semester and the entire Summer semester. Only online instruction is planned.
- All events are now canceled through the Spring and Summer.
- This weekend Â鶹´«Ã½ introduced new web pages that are designed to help faculty, staff and students navigate the new remote requirements.
Â鶹´«Ã½ urges students to check their student email and the FCC website daily for updates.
